Hello,
I did a search and did not find an answer.

I installed a USB hard drive on a users XP pro computer. I logged in as an admin and installed the backup software that it came with. I when i log in as the user, the software will not run. It just craps out with the "send message to MS" question. The software runs fine under my admin account.

The user is listed as a Power User. How do I grant access to the software for this user?

thanks
_ALEX

The software more than likely needs admin access to run properly, you can right click on the .exe and do a run as and use the admin account and it should run. I would than use the built in scheduler in the software which most backup software has and schedule it to do regular backups with the admin account so the end user doesn't have to do anything.

Check the NTFS file permissions on the folder(s) where the software is installed on the local machine. Another possibility is the permissions of the registry keys that might be required by the software.
