One of our branch offices uses the BCM 50 (software release 2.x). They have been getting lots of robocalls from telemarketers that seem to be targeting our range of 100 DIDs (1800-1899) assigned to the local PRI trunked to that switch. The robocalls start at 1800 and progress thru the DID range. For every DID that does not have a DN assigned in the switch, the call rolls up to the main reception line (1800). Since we only have a handful of actual DNs behind certain DIDs (about 15), you can imagine how annoying it has become for the receptionists to field call after call of the same telemarketing garbage.
Can I program the BCM to give a busy signal to any callers attempting to reach a DID that does not have a corresponding DN programmed on the switch?
Any guidance will be much appreciated. I've been poking around in Element Manager but can't seem to find out what I need to change in order to make this happen. Thanks.
