How to get windows 98 to join Windows 2000 domain and see computer through the Network browser.

Win9x can't actually join a domain. To see the network neighborhood, you set the workgroup name to the domain name (you may need to make sure the IP address is on the same subnet as the PDC as well.)

If everything seems to be going well: you don't have enough information.......

On the WIN2K server CD their is an updated Active Directort client for WIN9X. Install the new client and follow the on-screen prompts.

In order for Windows 95,98,Me clients to access network resources in a Windows 2000 domain, you need to install
Active Directory client from the Windows 2000 Server CD.

You need the AD client for Unified environments only (Only Win2k AD Forests, no Legacy PDC). In Mixed Domain environment the standard domain client will work fine.
