how to get total of value of feilds in the same row

lets say i have a report like that

Case_Number Mild Serious Casualities Total/Record
12/2010 3 5 6 14
13/2010 1 2 4 7
15/2010 2 3 4 9

total 6 10 14 30



i managed to get the total by using running total field,but i i want to know how can i get the value of "Total/Record" (14,7,9)

another question i am using cr in vs 2008 can any one tell me where can i get the sql experission to write sql satetment in the report

Well if you had used a formula to add the numbers togather,, then you could summarize that field, at group totals and / or report totals.

ok,, so in the designer,, click on the total field,, then hit the sum button on the toolbar, respond report total as when and where to place it.. Doesn't it create a total field in the report footer??

sorry,, for being so dense,, and tell me if I am wrong,, you went under the designer for running total fields,, and defined the total accumulator,,now you cannot figure out how to get it to "sum",, this defined field..
Well,, create the same field name and formula under the formula portion of the designer,, then that "formula" becomes a field you can sum,, at the end of the report. Sorry,, it just hit me, what I think you have done..

If what you showing us are detail records, you can just add the fields together in a formula:

{table.mild}+{table.serious}+{table.casualties}

What is confusing is your use of "/record" which makes it look like you want to divide the total by something else.

thnx jmdo252 ,,but sorry i dont get what u have said crealy ,all i want is to sum all values of all fields in the same row ,,and it works when i did what lbass told me ,just simply adding the fields with out using any aggregate functions
