There are 5 processes

Enterprise classification importer
Enterprise document conversion
Enterprise extractor process
Enterprise prospect importer
Enterprise update distributor

in Livelink System->Enterprise datasource folder->Enterprise data flow manager

I want to get the status of these five processes(Scheduled or running or idle or some error)using LAPI calls. Can anyone please help me and suggest me some ideas?

lapi cannot find system object volume processes. If you are having problems with indexing defintely you should fix that.If you are having problems with off hours support those processes can be started /stopped at command line on the admin server, several server side tools will allow you to do that.In any case the SOV is trying to get your attention for something in its way(a bad file,a viral checker blocking the ipool files, things more windowish than livelink)so just be re-starting it every now and then won't help you

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?

Hi Nair,

I want to automate the process that i do now..
Now what i do is, i go to the systems volume and check if all the processes are running fine.. if not i have to report it..
Is there any way to automate this, ie; If any of the process is not scheduled or running, a mail has to be fired...??

the sysobject volume does have a mailing ability whenit is stalled or not running

Hi Nair,

Thanks for the reply.

Can you please explain me how to do this.

Step1:Func=admin.index ad from there find the link that says
"Configure System Object E-Mail Delivery".Please understand that this is dependent on notifications running correctly so I would set up a simple notification in your personal workspace to a document just added .If notifications are working then you should get that by email.Livelink uses the same mecahnism to report stalled processes to the livelink administrators
