How to Get The IP Of my machine?

Dear friend..
Which windows API function I can use to get the IP address of my machine ? will it work well in all windows OS versions like 95, xp etc..?

for win95/98/me we have the command "winipcfg" - windows based
for win2k/nt/Xp we have the command "ipconfig" - text base
( on MS-dos prompt only )
