Hi Forum

My company has recently bought and installed Seagate Info 7.5, I was hoping to be able to access and manipulate reports using VB 6 however having looked at a number of sample applications on the Crystal Site it appears all of the require the "Crystal Automation Server" which is a .dll called creaut32.dll.

I have looked everywhere for this dll but it does not appear to be included in Seagate Info 7.5 so I am hoping someone can tell me which product this ships with ?

I have spent all morning looking around the Crystal Website for a clue but so far have got nowhere.

It is actually the cPeaut32.dll and thus file will only be available in the Developer Editions of CR in version prior to v9. In v9 this tool has been deprecated along with the OCX control.

It is also not included with SI since this is not a dev tool (perse).

SI is also using a version 8 engine, so you may want to try an get your hands on CR Dev v8. There wer changs in v8.5 that may not work for you in the SI environ

Thanks Gecko, I will now try and persuade the powers that be to buy the necessary stuff.

Cheers, Joe.
