How to get printer status ?

Hi Friends,

I want to know Printer status before firing print. I tried it by picking status from registry but it always shows me ready even if paper is jammed.

I even tried OpenPrinter, GetPrinter API functions. (Please refer to my previous thread posted on 10/13/03)
