Hi,

I have added a new HDD to my compaq proliant 3000 RAID 5, as part of an exsisting logical drive of 101 GB. Everything seems fine except I dont know how to get WinNT4 to realise that there is now another 38 GB of space. Can anyone help me with some advice?

When you expanded the array, the current logical drive was spread across all the spindles. You must now take the extra space and create a second logical drive to present to the OS. As far as I can tell, you cannot change the size of a logical drive once created.

Or, you can use a 3rd party tool like server magic to extend an existing drive.

If it doesn't leak oil it must be empty!!
