I bought a USB fax-data-voice modem to zap telemarketers (using a program like Identafone or PhoneTray Free). It can answer calls and properly detects caller ID and passes that information to the computer - but it cannot play any WAV files to the caller. The caller hears only silence before they are disconnected.
I've got a Windows 7 64-bit system. The modem was auto-detected by Windows. When I tried to download and update the drivers from the seller's website at:
with the title: "New 56Kbs USB 2.0 V.92/90 Dial Up Voice Fax DATA Modem" (SKU008043)
...Windows said that my drivers are the most current.
This is the modem I am using:
It has this model number on it:
ITE NO: CX-FU02
What can I do to get this modem to "speak" to callers?
Thanks,
Eliezer
