Hi,
I am trying to access internet through my motorola surfboard (sb4100) cable modem on my SCO Open Server 5.0.6 system. The modem has provision to connect it to PC either through NIC or USB. I have added USB supplement from "SCO Opnserver supplement" CD. but now i don't know how to go further. I think, there should be some prolocol to be attached with the USB device but i don't know how to do it. If you have some experience on this , would you help me?

Thanks in advance,
Bharat Patel

I have yet to use USB on any OS, but..

I would think that if USB is supported for tcp/ip, then it should show up as a choice when you say "add LAN adapter" in netconfig.

That, of course, would be the sensible thing to do :) Tony Lawrence

I just looked at the release notes for the USB stuff- no mention of tcp/ip..

Depends who your ISP is as to whether the USB interface is activated or not.
Take Telewaste in the UK ... No USB on the SB4100 here.

Get yourself a firewall and stick it between your sco box and the CM. I can't have sent that email, it says from Superuser.
