how to get incoming calls to miss line 1 1

i work for a company that has the DVX plus Digital hybrid Telephone system, my problem is that for some reason any call that comes in on line 1, the person on the line has a problem hearing me, without going to the expense of having a booster put on the system, i wonder if its possible to divert calls automatically to line 2 and above.

First of all, what is the part number of the phone set you are using. Does this situation happen on all of the phone sets on the system or on only your phone. Have you tried swapping out the hand set you are using with another known good working handset? I would not think you would need a "booster" on the line, if this is the only line you have a problem like this, could be a telco problem. Can you isolate the line in question before it goes to the phone system and verify if the caling/called party can hear clearly?
