I have recently passes the 210 and 215 exams and am still finding it difficult to find a job.
I'm not in a position to be able to build on these yet.

Could anyone suggest maybe what sort of jobs I should be going for or what the best way of going about it is.

Many people in IT will tell you that tradesmen ogten make better pay, work shorter hours, and have more fun on the weekends...

Go to your local PC stores and ask them. Call up the temp agencies. etc...

Getting a job with or without an MCP is the same. It's just that now you have a slight edge over those who don't have the coursework you do...

Lift up your head, know all of your skills, be ready to give a 30-45 second verbal resume (look up "elevator speech" on the internet), and show the potential employers you're a motivated self-starter...

You need experience as well really which is the catch-22 situation. Your best bet might be to try and get a fairly low-paid helpdesk job and either just use it to get experience for a year and then move on or try and work your way to 2nd/3rd line support in that company.

niceferrar is right....is a tough market to get in now not like a few years ago when the bubble is growing like anyone who can type can get a desent job.....as jtb have mentioned, being able to 'verbal' not only your resume, but your technical expertise as well....u never know....being able to do stuff yourself and able to explain things is 2 different technique.....need to sharpen that also....i'm currently work'in for an interconnect doing mostly cabling, telephony stuff but i enjoyed it....once in a while i have customer who needs me to configure their computer stuff....so there you really 'express yourself'....and hey who knows? opportunity doesn't knock all the time but you have to be prepare when it does......
