Hi
During an attended transfer its often important to switch back to party A before completing the transfer to party B (to check they're still there / customer services reasons and in tapi this would use the swap hold method).
I know that this is possible on softphones that handle transfers at the client end (ie having 2 voip calls coming down to the client and bridging the calls locally), but is there a softphone that allows you to swap the holding party on a "proper" transfer (ie where the 2 lines are bridged at the ip pbx, be it asterisk or whatever)?
((What ive noticed on my softphone so far is that when im talking to the party B before completing the transfer , if i hit hold button on my softphone (which will result in both calls being on hold), i am hearing the ip pbx hold music - it seems a small step from here to the swap hold feature, ie its putting call B on hold, it now just needs to take call A off hold!))
Regards
Gary
