I am trying to get a picture from a single frame in my video and I cannot figure out how to get the snapshot. Essentially I have tried to print screen it, but the final image has ablack area where the video was. What I want to do is get the picture from the video, bring it into photoshop and work with it there, then bring it into Premiere again to throw some text on it. Please help me out, thanks.

If using Premiere, then CTRL+SHIFT+M (or File/Export/Still) will make a still of the current video frame in either a clip window, or the programme window from the timeline.
