how to get a list from Tcl Script to A Tcl C interface and manipute it

Hi,
I am trying to build an application where on some event i need to call a package command . To that command i want to pass a Script List Data-structure( or any other )
and in the package i want to fill that list and again use it in Script when the command finishes...

Can you "return" a value from the command? That is, when you call the command: "set newlist {package::command $list}" and in the command procedure: "return $newlist"? Bob Rashkin
