Hi all,
How can I get a count of empty slots in the jukebox using networker's commands.
Example, "nsrjb -C" -- will list the contents of the jukebox both those with and without tapes in them. Now I want to be able to list/view just those without tapes (empty slots).
Thanks. goodluck

Assuming you're using unix, "grep" will be your friend.

This won't work in my particular case (3494 silo), but it's simple to take advantage of your volume names. Mine all start with "N0" or "E0":

nsrjb -C | grep -v "[EN]0"

That would list all empty slots. (It doesn't apply to a 3494 since that silo doesn't tell networker about empty slots).

Thanks Chapter11. You got me started in the right direction and I was able to figure out the rest and it worked. Thanks
