Hello everybody,

I have problem of getting manufacturer name of the printer connected to the local port (LPT, USB).
Currently I am using PJL to get info about printer model, serial number, etc. and everything is working well and would be enough, if my task would not include getting Manufacturer name of the printer.
I can not find any Status Readback command in HP PJL specification, which would return the name of the printer manufacturer (like HP, OKI, Lexmark, etc.).
Could you please give me a hint, how I could retireve that?
May be PJL is not the best way to get such information?

Thank you.

PS: I need a solution for Win2K, WinXP.
