Hi everybody I need to gain cellphone access for a single station so I tried with command 1201:xxx >> 44 but is not working, well I think I will need to modify Service restriction class ( CM15 ) or maybe even need to modify Numbering Plan to add cellphone facility, sadly the few technical enterprises who still give support to nec (here in Chile) are almost extinct so I thank God and my luck for discover this forum.

Many thanks in advance

Jose

Typically restriction class 1:1 is unrestricted. You might try CMD 1201>ext>1:1 instead of 4:4.

Thanks Belevedere, I just tried 1201>ext>1:1 but still have not permission to dial cellphones, I think that is some restriction in somewhere that I will have to change, I am thinking in something related with CMD15...
I thank you for trying to help me
Jose

Ok

This could be complicated but we will get there. First we need to know some details. In command 200 what is your line access code set to? (the line access code can be different in different countries so I can't be specific, here in Oz we use 0 but in the US they use 9 for example) So the command would be 200 de (line access code) de and tell us what is displayed.

later we will need to know what the cellphone prefix is. Also if the displayed result in command 200 is anything like A126, A127, A129 or A129, you may want to read the FAQ here....

Whoops that should read A126, A127, A128 or A129.

Another question is when you dial the cellphone number, at what point does it restrict and if you are dialling it from a Dterm, what is displayed when it restricts.

Thanks OzzieGeorge for your response, I have done the following steps:

our access code is set to 9

CMD 200>9:A126 wich is LCR Group 0

And Here in Chile we use 0 to call cellphones, but when I dial 9 then 0 the Dterm says "RESTRING"

I give a look to CMD 8A0000 But I felt lost again

Thank you very very much for your help

You probably felt lost because you missed a step. Instead of 8A0000 you should next use command 8AA000 de 0 de and see what you get displayed. It should be a 400X number (X being the variable)

The next command is 8A400X de 0 de and see what you get.

You may get assigned already in which case try expanding the mobile prefix. When you get a number displayed or get stuck, get back to us!

I should add that you probably will have to expand the code because of other numbers that may start with 0 for example here we have 0011 as international access whereas mobiles begin 04 and even then they are sometimes split out to 040,041,042 etc The reason for this is that there may currently be no mobiles that use (for example) 049 the thing is that at some future date the authorities may assign that number to a premium service so it is initially restricted until it comes into use! So you will have to check the settings for each of the codes that could be used for mobiles. However in my example above if I found 04 was set to a number I would just use that one as it encompasses all I need to address.

I said it could get complicated. but if it is getting too complicated we can slow the steps down. You can also refer back to the FAQ.

By the way do you know which version of the system you have? Is it an IVS, an IVS2 or an IPS?

Hi again OzzieGeorge, well, this is getting pretty interesting I read the faq again, and now try to do the things the right way, I get the following results:

CMD>8AA000 DE 0 : 4005

then I go with the next command

CMD>8A4005 DE 0 : NONE

we have a Neax 2000 IPS (but without IP facilities)

thank again and again and again and...

Thats a bit strange?

Are there other codes that start with 0 in your country and can you dial them?

Try following a number that you can dial in Cmd 8A4005 and report back on that one

We needed to know if it was an IPS because when we work this out there is an extra step with the IPS to save the data to flash. Otherwise if there is a power outage and the system resets you would revert back to the old setting.
