how to format win xp

Can anybody tell me how to format hard drive with win xp!please help me

On a new installation or re-installation you can do it from the setup routine.

On a new added drive you can do it with the MMC Disk Management snap-in. right-click My Computer,Manage,Disk Management, and you should see an entry for your new uninstalled drive. Partition and format.

Howdy:

Boot into BIOS.. Change the boot device order to cd-rom as the first boot device..

Pop your XP cd into the cd-rom and restart your computer..

XP is self-booting.. just follow the prompts after that..

BTW, the ONLY XP that isn't self-booting is the pirated version of Corporate Edition. If you have that, no one here will help you.

Just a small quibble. A VLK installation, pirated or not, can be made self-booting without any particular difficulty.

As a test for the legitimacy of the license this is a decidedly poor one.

The ordinary joe has NO idea how to make it self-bootable without help.. ergo, someone asking for help to make their XP cd self-bootable would be a dead giveaway now wouldn't it !!!!
