I have an EMC clariion and I need to remove all the data from the drives and preferably be able to verify this. I don't know much about this kind of hardware and I dont have any software for this device. All that I have been able to do is connect the device to a computer via a serial cable and view the output through hyperterminal. The boot up process displays several messages then stops while displaying the following:

int13 - RESET (1)

DDBS: MDDE (Rev 2) on disk 0
DDBS: Read default DDE (0x400007) off disk 0
DDBS: MDDE (Rev 2) on disk 2DDBS: DD invalid on first disk.
DDBS: Second disk is valid for boot.

NT FLARE image (0x00400007) located at sector LBA 0x0002284B

Disk Set: 2
Total Sectors: 0x005821A1

Relative Sectors: 0x0000003F

Calculated mirror drive geometry:
Sectors: 63
Heads: 240
Cylinders: 382
Capacity: 5775840 sectors

After this nothing happens. Could someone please tell me what I have to do to make this work and how I can wipe the drives?

to remove data "for sure" you need to remove the LUNs - then destroy the RAID group >> re-build the RAID group >> re-create LUNs
