How to format a dropdown listbox

Hi all,
I can't format a dropdown listbox's border the same way I do text fields. How can I get rid of the 3-d shadow look of the border and apply a solid borderline?

Hi All,

The select box is system generated and is unlike any other form element.

This stops you from editing the a lot of the functionality and also the layout.

To do what you are trying, you would need to use a script to generate something like a select box but then you run into browser compatibility problems.
