how to force window system to refresh

Hi,

The task I am facing is to force the window system to refresh such that I can see the newly-added volume to the system. ( Instead of waiting for the window system to periodically discover it itself). I would like to use powershell script to do this job. Any suggestion?

I have figured it out... In fact, I can use diskpart utility and run rescan...

That's seems like a stretch. Although, I can't offer a better solution. whatever works!
