How to force scrollbar in parent frameset

Hi --

Here's my problem:

index.html is a frameset of 6 frames (I had to be able to control the content area just by itself), but now I need to add an auto-scrollbar to the whole parent frameset. Since the parent consists of three frames from top to bottom, I seem to be unable to add a scrollbar to it. since it's not a frame itself. Makes sense? Please let me know if there is a way to do this, or if youu need more clarification.
