How to force ARCserve v9 to use prelabled media

We are running ARCserve Backup V9 and doing backups not with a rotation scheme only through seperate full backups and daily incremental backup jobs.
For distinguishing groups of media we want to prelable the media. If a full backup or an incremental backup takes an empty media it keeps the media label. But in case the backup requires a continuation media ARCserve overwrites the label taking again the label used on the previous tape with the sequence number 2.
Is it possible to suppress this relabeling?

Thanks

Hi
Your question is not clear... but what you explain is exactly what Arcserve does it keeps the Media label if it is the firt media and for addtional media it is overwrites the label taking again the label used on the previous tape with the sequence number 2.
This the way it works what do mean exactly by relabeling

Sorry for the unclear description.

We want to establish the following process:
Before using a tape we will write a label onto the tape with a name that we also stick at the tape cartridge.

Therefore the default behaviour of ARCserve to label a continuation tape automatically conflicts this process.
We have only labeled tapes in the jukebox. But ARCserve does not respect these labels if it writes continuatation tapes.
Are there configuration possibilities to disable this default behaviour?

Rüdiger
