My video card was replaced with a new ATI Radeon 9200, 8X AGP,128 DDR video card. The bios menu screens which are being displayed bounce severely until windows loads. This happens whether I'm restarting windows or starting from a cold boot.

The description would be similar to hitting a speed bump while watching a television screen. The change in part represents an upgrade from 4X to 8X AGP however my motherboard is designed to accept both. Can anyone explain how I can fix this problem?

My OS is Win 98 SE with a AMD XP 2100 CPU and 1GB DDR Ram.

Your problem may be a bios or some hardware problem...either way you need to post more info about your system's hardware...

...but first I'd check your bios (date and version) and I'd see if there was an update on the Manufacturer's (your motherboard's) website. See if it identifies this problem and, if not, see if they have a support address so you can ask for help.

If your are having problems with identifing your systems components download and run aida32 - this'll give you all the info you need!

Cheers
