I'm currently upgrading some of our AIX servers with several maint-levels.
After installing some I run lppchk to se if any filesets are causing trouble and get this:
lppchk -v
lppchk: The following filesets need to be installed or corrected to bring the system to a consistent state:

bos.net.snapp 5.2.0.1 (BROKEN)
bos.net.snapp 5.2.0.105 (BROKEN)

How is it possible to fix this?

Have you already tried to reinstall the filesets using smitty ?

You might need to set the "force" option as well as "overwrite same or newer versions" to "yes" ...

But start with preview = yes to see what happens ...

Thomas

Does oslevel -s gives you the expected level after installing the maintenance level?

If not then try to view the needed filesets using the following link:

If yes then chances are that the broken fileset shown using the lppchk -v is as what Thomas suggested are old versions of the upgraded ones.

Khalid
