I've inherited a database and I'm trying to make some change requests. One of the tables in the DB isn't linked to any other tables, and I'm not sure which forms/objects are used to populate records in it.

Is there a way for me to "evaluate" the table in a way that Access will show me which objects on what form(s) are used to populate the table?

Basically, I need to figure out how data is added to the table--from which form, etc.

Thanks,
Kerry

And what about the access doumenter tool ?
menu Tools -> Analyze -> Documentation
The spelling may be different as I don't use an english version of office.

Hope This Helps, PH.

I already tried using Tools->Analyzer->Documentation, but it doesn't provide enough information. Specifically , it doesn't show which forms or queries or reports are run off of the tables.

I tried the MDBDOC.HTM addin as well, and although it provides a lot of info it doesn't call out the established links between the table and other objects.

I'm going through the properties and designs of all the queries one by one to try and find whatever is linked to the table in question.

Thanks for your suggestions.

There's surely several more methods, but I think some tedious manual labor would need to be done. For instance, looking thru "all" the properties of form and report controls, it's easy to forget a couple of invisible controls made so tiny you don't see them in the upper left corner;-)

The method provided by the member bboffin here, would dump all objects to textfiles. Afterwards you can search them either individually, or use some of the more advanced search options ("A word of phrase in the file") thread705-834817.
