I am trying to clean up a report with unnecessary variable prompts.

One still shows the green check mark saying it is still referenced somewhere. I have searched all the formulas, all the suppressions statements, used the Formula Workshop to display all the suppressionlogic, etc. Still cannot find where this is used. When I try to delete it, it says it is still referenced but I cannot find it.

Does CR10 ever mistakenly leave such a reference hanging when it actually not used? Any way to get rid of it?

misbrandy,

If it is a parameter, edit it and change the value type (from 'string' to 'number' for instance). When you run the report it will error where the parameter is being referenced.

Thank you!

I did that -- it threw me into Formula Workship with a 1st line Folder (above Repository, Formulas, Select Formulas, Formatting Formulas) called

Error:A number is required here.

What is that?

misbrandy,

I don't know - maybe some kind of Custom Function?

I usually have to resort to creating a Report Definition text file and then perform a search against the file.
