How to find when the application started

Not quite clear what you are asking.

Do you want to find the time when your VFP application started? If so, call DATETIME() at the start of the program.

Or do you want to find the time that your VFP application launched another program? I guess that would be the same answer: call DATETIME() at the appropriate time.

But you also say you want to find the name of a file. You'll need to explain that a bit more clearly.

I too am confused by your question.

On one hand you say that you want to "find when the application started." which Mike has already told you how to do and what command to use. That information can be captured to a file if so desired so that it can be examined at a later time.

On the other hand you say that you want information from something called a 'caption file'.

These 2 requests are totally different.

And since neither your link to Mike Gagnon's post in Foxite (which tells you specifically what to do), nor your example immediately above is helping me understand any better (maybe I am just having one of those 'dumb' days), please be more clear.

Good Luck,
