Can anyone tell me how to find out what tapes belong to a groups backup for a specific date.

Hello

you can do that with the command "mminfo",

for example:
mminfo -q "group=xxxx,savetime=yesterday" -r "volume"

Actually tapes don't belong to a specific group, unless you setup media pools for this purpose.

The above command will give you the tapes that were used. you can also just issue mminfo (with no options) and it will show you what tapes were used for the last backup.
