How to find port of unprogramed station 1

Due to downsizing [sad] we're shutting down our front desk. So the attendant console will no longer be manned. I've always used this to find the port number for an unassigned port. For instance some phone jack in the company is patched back to a port on the Definity but nothing is programed to that port. So I'd take a phone over there and plug into it. I'd call 0 and have the attendant person read me the port number off the attendant display. Then I could go about setting that phone up.

So now I'm looking for advice. I'm sure there is a better way to do this but I'm a bit stumped. I don't want to have to physically trace the port back to the phone system each time.

I know about the feature codes for program and deprogram. I could use that with a little bit of extra effort. Is there any other way? Any way to have the definity report what port you're on?

Hardware platform? Definty / CM software version?

I'm not sure on model and version. This is all I know. If there is a command I can run let me know. I've asked our contractors this and never got an answer that made any sense.

If it is g3si 9.5 you can setup a COR for tti/psa ports that can call station to station only.
From tti/psa port, call any digital station with a display.
Code:
display system-parameters features Page 2 of 10 SPE B
                    FEATURE-RELATED SYSTEM PARAMETERS

If the phone you are at is a display phone, TTI in a station, then dial the FAC code for the Self Station Display Activation, it will display the port, then TTI out the station.

I love learning and passing on knowledge. "Because knowing is half the battle".... ??GI JOOOOOE??

If you TTi a phone in then look for a feature called "Self Station Display Activation" This will tell you on the display the extension number and the port number it is connected to. This assumes that you are using digital sets.
