I am considering buying an additional hard disk, but not sure what type of interface my computer supports. Is there anyway to find out this information?

thanks

What do you mean by "interface"? Are you asking PATA (IDE), SCUSI, SATA, or speed of the interface ATA 66, ATA 100, ATA133?

The hardware identification programs will help you out.
