How to find correcty admin.id 1

I recently took over the administration of a Domino Notes server. It was 5 and I upgraded it to 6.5. I used an id called admin.id to create users, but I find that I do not have permission to do quite a few other things. Can anyone give any tips on finding the correct id to use to fully administer the server? I tried a number of Id's in the data directory without any luck.

You would normally use a Notes Group and add your Notes Admins to it and insert it into the NAB on the server or via the Admin client.

In your case, you can probably start off by adding your self to the "Full Access administrators" field. From your server, open the NAB (names.nsf), Configuration, All servers, open yours from the list. Click the Security Tab and double-click the document. Add your name using the canonical name (i.e. John Walsh/USA/GLOBAL/HP). Then, I would make sure you install the Admin client on your PC. That should help you with Administration.
