I have some posted A/P invoices, which is not payed.
I need to generate A/P payment batches in a special manner,
so they correspond to invoice batches, with a special names, entry description etc.

To do so I need to find all posted but non-payed invoices.
I can execute Create Payment Batch dialog and it will generate SYSTEM GENERATED payment batch, but it is not what I want - I want to group checks in some other way.

Can I query all posted but non-payed invoices without generation of system batch?
Currently, the only alternative I have - is to generate batch, and than iterate through all of its items - and move them (delete/re-create) to payment batch generated by me.

Thanks for prompt response.

Can I do this if I don't have direct access to SQL DB, only Accpac API?

Are you comfortable writing macros? What version of Accpac are you running?

yes, sure. Accpac 5.4A Service Pack 2

Thank you for great hint - I never heard about CS0120.

By the way, can I use directly AP0025 view (which corresponds to APOBL table)? It looks like a simpler solution...

You can but CS0120 allows you to run SQL statements which allows you to join multiple tables together. Plus you get the benefit of using the server's power vs. the Accpac view's business logic. CS0120 does have some oddities, however, but I like having access to it.

I thought it was in 5.4 but apparently not. It's here for 5.5:

There's nothing technically to open until you give it a SQL statement and .Browse using the SQL statement as it is links you to a record set returned by the database.

Go back to your original thought of using AP0025.

Or upgrade. :)

Thank you for prompt and informative responses! It really helps.
By the way, do you know any other good sites with Accpac programmers? I found tek-tips is the best so far, but who knows...
I have a relatively small project which integrates Accpac with some other home-made system using background-running Windows service.
Have some non-trivial pure Accpac problems, want to continue bothering people... :)

There are the Sage Community forums but considering the members who are here you aren't likely to find better help.
