How can I find the IP address of a printer on the network?
It is connected to a HP Jet direct box but there is no info on this device. Does anyone have any tips, can it be done from novell admin?

thanks in advance
Stu

Are you sure that it has been setup? If you are, the print server will show as a logged-in connection on the server. The easiest way, however, is to print a self-test page from the printer. Depending on the model of printer you will get either 1 or 2 pages. Look for JetDirect Configuration, that will show what is setup (ipx, tcp/ip, NDS, etc).

Good luck,

Mark ;-)

Hi !
Firstly, you should print the seft-test page of that external jet-direct ( connect the printer cable to your jet-direct, press button "Test" on the Jet-direct ), then we will see the harhware address of the jet-direct.
Secondly, go to jet admin program and using above hardware address to search network printer.
