Hi,

I am trying to find a way to filter hierarchy by level in Cognos Report Studio..
e.g. I have a hierarchy of org. units, and I'm creating a report on expenses per org. unit, and I want to see expenses of all level 1 org units, and all level 2 units, and all level 3 units etc. (each level separately). Like if I aggregated data for let's say level 1, and then drilled down to level 2, except I want to drill down to all level 2 units at once (not just by one level 1 path through hierarchy).

Here's an example:

Level 1: HQ
Level 2: SU11, SU12, SU13, SU14
Level 3: SU111, SU112, SU121, SU131, SU132, SU133, SU134, SU141

if I choose for example level 2, I want to have a table like this:

SU11 SU12 SU13 SU14
Expenses 100 200 150 123

Can this be done using drill down (let's say, I click on SU11, and I get a similar table only with ALL level 3 subsidiaries as columns), or if not, how can it be done?

P.S. Please have in mind that I'm very new to Cognos. :)

Many thanks
