I need to know how to retrieve data from a field in a database and display it in a list box.....i am a beginner so please try to be detailed in your response....

i have tried using the DBListControl but when i go to the properties and to the data source in does not list any datasources in the drop down...

what is the best way to do this and how??..please help if you can.....
