Document Company" is one of the properties found in a Microsoft Office file (right click on any Microsoft Office file and select properties) along with Title, Subject , Author , Create Date , Modify Date etc.

How to fetch these fields using JavaScript??

Please let me know .

Thanks.

You'd probably have to use ActiveX, which means it will be available only in IE, or in Firefox where users have the ActiveX plugin (pretty rare, I'd say).

There is no cross-browser way of doing this.

Hi,

I have tried allot to work out with ActiveX, but all in vain.. I suppose its very easy to achieve through VB Script and VB program .. but my requirement is to implement this in JavaScript.

Can you give example for ActiveX, suppose fetching Company Name for Word Document ... I have written one program but it showing error in ActiveX.
