how to fade in two images

hi,
I have an image two images.
one which is 600wx400h
and another 500wx75h

I want to fade the big image in over 10 frames and then for the following 10 frames fade the second one in positioned at the top of the first image.
can anyone tell me step by step how to do this? as i dont have much experience with flash.

There's alot to what your asking us to explain. You have to make sure it's preloaded. Then place it in a movie or just use loadMovie(). We all wish we had more time to explain.

Might be easier to get a component that fades in movieclips and fades out at a set speed.
