Hi all!

I have read the Win Management/Manager Help file, and other online tutorials prior to coming here.
According to one of them, I am to use the prompt line executable called Diskpart, due to the fact that the space I want to extend to, is located to the right of the partition I want to extend.
My problem though, is that this EXE seems to list only Disks. I need to extend only one "partition" into another, not one "disk" into another :(
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance guys,

JDL

In the "naming" process, each Partition is identified as a "Disk". My physical second hard drive, is partitioned into four "partitions" - identified as: Disk K, L, M, and N. These are NOT "disks" - they are in reality just artificial labels. So if I deleted "Disk L" (partition), I would actually be "extending" "K" into "M".
I hope I explained this clearly enough for what you want to accomplish.

Windows 7 comes with Shrink commands where you can shrink the partition size. You could also just delete a partition if you wanted after saving any data elsewhere and later create a smaller partition if you need to. Have a look in Disk Management and right-click on the listed Drives (partitions) for the Shrink Volume menu item.

This article is a bit of a guide to what you can do, it does not strictly apply to your situation but it might give you a few clues.
