Thanks for that. Great article, but I'm still in the dark about how to do this.
My flash movie is only about 8 second long, so how do I get it converted to an AVI so I can import it into my audio application to score it?
If you can post a link to your .swf (not protected from import!), or even better to your .fla, I might be able to try it out for you. You could also e-mail your .fla to me at oldnewbie@hotmail.com, I'll try to get an .avi back to you.
I just tried to export as .mov and was told a "component couldn't be found". I assume that means I need a Quick Time development kit or something. I actually don't even have quicktime installed on that machine. It's not connected to the Internet. I'm paranoid about getting a virus and blowing it up!
I'll e-mail the fla...Thanks.
Bad news & bad news!
Movie clips won't export in .avis.
They will in QT but from Flash 4 only... Scripting restrictions. Converted your scripts to Flash 4 syntax, and it does somewhat seem to work... Seems to be a repeat in the beginning of the rotating planet, but that could be my fault. And since I don't have the font files you used, the Orbitech display might be f..?&%$%?!
Thanks for trying. I need to do multi track and MIDI recording on this little movie. Cubase is much better for this than Flash.
So are you saying there's no way to do this?...darn...
Could allways send you the QT movie, doesn't to jerk in the normal player. But isn't the Orbitech font wrong in my link?
Could you work with the Quicktime file?
