How can I export a cross tab to excel with the spreadsheet looking like steps.

domestic
longhair
cat
xxx

I want it to look like
xxx cat longhair domestic

We don't know how you got the step appearance in the first place. Please describe the layout of the crosstab, columns, rows, summary field, and what you have set in the customize style tab. You might need to create a manual crosstab--not sure.

You crystal report works great and appears as I want it to but when I export to excel it comes out in the steps.

Sorry, but I don't know what you are referring to, so please cite the thread number.

Answer was to export to excel without using the Data only option but rather with header and footer

Please use the second solution in that
thread149-1529329. Also, it would have been better had you stayed within that thread.
