Hi. We are in the process of taking over a company who uses lotus notes. My job is to export settings...contacts mail into outlook/exchange.

Is there a pst method in lotus notes or an export feature. I really have never used it and was wondering.

thanks.

You can use File/Export from a view to create a text file, a spreadsheet or a Structured Text file.
Personally, I'd advocate the spreadsheet. It is 123 format, but Excel can open that easily. From there, you can modify and resort the data as you wish.

Pascal.

Does Lotus notes store the contacts on the server? I assume I would have to have the user log on?

More often than not the contacts are stored locally (C:\Program Files\Lotus\Notes\Data\Names.nsf). The easiest way to find out for sure is by going into the user's workspace, which would require you login as the user. It will tell you in the workspace if the address book is local or on the server.
