I just started working on a project of transfering multiple ACT databases into one SQL server based database.

Has anyone done this kind of project?

I found a program Exporter for ACT, I am not sure yet if it is what I'm looking for so I don't know if I should purchase it for the project. Does this program exports everything.

Obviously I want to export all related data from ACT and then import it into SQL. I also want to keep all original field names including those that are custom.

Please gime me your thoughts. Thanks.

Click File, Data Exchange, Export.

Follow all the prompts to get what you want, play with the export options and view the exported info in a text file before importing to SQL.

I'm moving the data to CRM. I need structure and data, the only way is Export Pro for ACT! ($280 US) There are no alternatives. Oh well, whatcha gonna do...

but thanks for comment anyway

What version are you using? ACT! 2000 is a simple Access database. Very easy importing and exporting...

We've used the database for developing several things, and have never needed to purchase third party software. The export function is actually pretty thorough, and if you can't get what you need out of it, try opening the DB in Access.

ACT! 6.0 FoxPro database files and also encrypted and also separated into different files

Ouch.... I guess we just got lucky then. Probably why we haven't been inclined to upgrade to the latest version!

lucky you )
I'm still waiting for approval to purchase the Export Pro.
