Is there an easy/quick way to make it so certain users DO NOT receive broadcast messages that go out to the entire system? (1 Intuity AUDIX system) I'm trying to avoid creating some sort of huge distribution list or something like that. Can I use the community ID to do this? Maybe put the users I don't want broadcast messages going to in a different community ID and then restrict the broadcaster from sending messages to that community ID? This would not prevent incoming calls to the users in the other ID from leaving a message would it? Looking for ideas and pros/cons of doing something like this. The issue is we have some people offsite using ext's out of my switch/AUDIX for fax only and when we broadcast a voice message to everyone here, the offisite fax only people get teh voice message in their box too and get confused about it.

There is no way that I know of.

Da-vi'do

P.S. A message to all,if you want to get the best response to a question, please read FAQ222-2244 first. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx system & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Be aware that if u don't answer a question, I usually will not continue to help u.

Anyone else figure out a way to do this? Everytime there is a broadcast message created, My sub extension for Emergency IT notification sends a page to our on call person...

Not to exclude the subscriber, but most users make the subscriber only outpage on a 'priority message'.A greeting on the mailbox instructs the caller how to make the message 'priority' and outcalling has to be set up for that one mailbox to only outcall when a 'priority message' is received. Course that won't work when your CEO sends a priority message to all users and takes down the entire network like what happened at Avaya a couple of years ago.
