Hi All,

i run Windows 2003 active directory on my network.

I want to be able to recieve mail as soon as Domain Controller restarts.

Thanks.

Setup some sort of monitoring system, there are plenty out there. Or write a script to monitor the Event logs and trigger when the system restarts.

How about having a startup script that SMTP mails you when the server is "up"? I believe that the network connections are set up prior to startup scripts running (I could be wrong though). This will also depend upon you having SMTP capability/enabled.

Thanks for the response Mini and TFG13,

I will like you to show me one of the tools to get me notified when my server is restarts.

Thanks
