I have inherited a somewhat messy database, in which one table tblAuthor has had duplicate entries entered into it. When a link should have been made between a paper and it's author using only one ID, several ids for the same author exist. I need to find a way of eliminating the duplicates and resetting all author ids of papers with the id just deleted to the correct id. I'm not really quite sure where to begin, can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank You
Steph

Hi

Fisrt step identify the duplicates, crate a query, access has a wizard to guide you through creating a query to find duplicates Regards
