How to Enable Web Access

How can I enable Web Access on domino server 5.0.8 so that clients can access e-mails through the browser

You need to have the HTTP server task running on your server. Can I also reccommend that you use the inotes template (If not already) as the web interface is far superior than that on the standard mail template.

Hello,

I would also recommend upgrading your server to 5.0.12. We had quite a few issues with iNotes on R5.0.8. Lotus recommends this as well.

Hello all,

Can you upgrade to 5.0.12 directly or do you have to install ALL the incrementals, too? Also, can you install the upgrade(s) with people currently using the server? In other words, do you need to down the server before upgrading? Thanks!

You can upgrade directly to R5.0.12 from R5.0.8. I would make a backup of names.nsf, server.id, and notes.ini before you upgrade.

Also, you will need to down the server, so I recommend planning the upgrade during off hours.
