How to enable relay in sendmail 8.9.3

Hi All,

Can anybody tell me how to enable relay in sendmail 8.9.3 version.
1=I have linux box there sendmail version 8.9.3 is running.
2=I have another linux system which is connected with internet and sendmail is configured on this system also.this system download the outside mail and send outside mail.
3=Internal user mail account is created in my first linux system there sendmail 8.9.3 is running and some user account is created in another linux box.
4=If first linux system want to send mail to second linux system user.they always get the message relay denied.

Can anybody tell me how can I enable the relaying in My First linux box there sendmail 8.9.3 version running so second system user can get the mail from first system?

So u hav Sendmail 8.9.3.. Hope u hav got source code of Sendmail also in ur /usr/lib/mail folder, or somewhere else on the system..

First, checkout whether in your Sendmail.cf, the feature "relay_entire_domain", or "relay_hosts_only" already compiled.. If yes, then u r done.. Just create /etc/mail/relay-domains file and mention the hosts / domains whom your sendmail should relay. Restart the sendmail and u will be able to relay the mails from outside domains/hosts.

If you do not have relay_entire_domain / relay_hosts_only feature in your sendmail.cf file, then add the above feature to your sendmail.mc file and generate the sendmail.cf file again using m4 pre-processor. replace this new sendmail.cf file to its place and restart the sendmail.. Dont forget to create relay-domains file and mention the domains/hosts to be relayed..
